Conga Conga Conga

What would an ordinary afternoon be without an impromptu conga line?
(Also, Will's pants are soaked because playing (or drinking) in the dog water)

Right Foot on Green

We attended Chyann's 8th birthday party today and the boys could not have been more excited. They literally talked about it for days and Will asked for Chyann approximately 100 times on the 2.5 hour drive to South Hill!

At the party the twins wanted to be right in the middle of the action (literally) the entire time. In fact Henry experienced his first game of Twister and all three took on the "hot potato"!

Happy Birthday Chyann!

We Found Nemo

We had such a fun birthday party for Will and Henry.  It was "Finding Nemo" themed and thanks to Pinterest our house was decked out in homemade decorations!

Daddy helped make these adorable fish out of paper lanterns and we hung them all over the house.
We painted each kid's hand in orange and white stripes and made a handprint that looked like a clown fish!  So cute!

The coloring station was always busy!

Will is always the life of the party.  He walked into the party like this with no prompting from us!
The fishing game was a hit!  Daddy made fishing poles with washers at the end and the kids tried to grab paper fish with magnets inside.

Henry and Maya took some time out for a "snack" in the playroom.

Will playing with his cars and choo choo's.

The bubbles were awesome and filled the whole room!  The kids were mesmerized!
As much as we tried to maintain some semblance of order during the gift opening, it was pretty much a free for all!

Homemade cupcakes made with love by Mommy!

Digging in!

All NINE kids had a blast!  We can't believe our boys are so big!

January 3rd

We celebrated the twins actual birthday quietly at home with Grandma and Grandpa. Jack was so excited for them that he could hardly contain himself. He made them cards and gifts and talked about it constantly. He is such a great big brother
Will and Henry were thrilled when we sang "happy birthday" and were eager to blow out the candles and dig in.

Even though Nana and Papa were in Florida and couldn't be there in person, they joined us via Skype!

Look at the cool barn cake that Grandma made them!

One of the gift bags came with a special "view finder" in order the see the hidden "Cars" images on the side. Henry was amazed!

Nana and Papa gave the boys a wagon! They loved it so much we had a hard time tearing them away for bedtime!

Two by Two

How is it that my sweet tiny babies are 2 years old? Where did the time go? It really does not seem like it was that long ago that we were here:
Or that they looked like this:

Will...

Henry...
Alas, they are no longer babies. Its nearly impossible to hold both of them at the same time and they are becoming more like boys and less like babies every day.

Oh William.

He is such a force of nature. He is high strung yet such a happy, go-lucky kid. He adores his brothers and loves nothing more than to play with them but is also very content to play by himself. Nana thinks he will be an engineer because he seems fascinated by how things work and move, especially trains. Without exaggerating, we have watched The Polar Express approximately 100 times in the past 45 days! I call him the Tasmanian Devil because he seems to blow from room to room with a crazy laugh. He is still such a daddy's boy but will give mommy hugs and kisses and cuddles. He is an adventurous eater and will at least try everything once. He may be the only one of the boys to try bungee jumping or skydiving but that's what we love about him. He is larger than life and will always be the life of the party.

And then there is Henry.
Sweet, sweet Henry. He honestly has one of the sweetest souls I have ever encountered. He loves hard and he cares about everything and everyone around him. He is eager to help out and his type A personality (wonder where he got that?!?!) comes through in the funniest ways. He can't stand for something to be out of sorts (a closet door open, a toilet seat up, a change to his routine or schedule) and even with his budding language skills he attempts to correct people. Right now he is a Mommy's boy unless Nana is around. If Nana is here, no one else exists. Its as if they are soul mates :) Henry is very smart and catches on to concepts extremely quickly. He loves animals and fish and imaginative play and adores playing with his brothers. Henry is NOT an adventurous eater like Will. In fact he is a self proclaimed vegetarian (unless its hot dogs or bologna). He LOVES fruit and veggies but everything else is hit or miss. He also has a mischievous streak in him but he is more the planner and Will the executor :)

These two boys have brought us immeasurable joy. On a daily basis we look at each other and one of us says "can you believe we had 2 babies at once?". Sometimes it is hard to believe but we wouldn't have it any other way!
