So Jack is currently obsessed with dinosaurs. Now, I know what you are going to say. All 4 year old little boys like dinosaurs. True. But I dare to bet that not many 4 year olds walk around with their 3 dinosaur encyclopedias and talk about Deinonychus or Ornithmimus. Seriously, he is obsessed. He knows probably 25 different dinosaurs and how to pronounce them correctly (He gets a kick out of correcting Mommy and Daddy's mispronounciations). He can tell you what period they lived in (Cretaceous, Jurassic, etc). He knows if they are carnivores, herbivores, omnivores or insectivores (yep, I didn't even know there was such a thing). I've never seen him so interested in anything like this before. He informed us yesterday that he wants to be a palientologist when he grows up :)
Jack watches Dinosaur Train on PBSkids everyday and he also watches Dino Dan on NickJr. In fact, he has officially changed his name to Jackson Alexander Spillman Dan. (Don't ask me why the "Dan" comes at the end!).
I found a dinosaur fossil kit on Amazon and Jack loved it. It had a glow in the dark bone set that he put together and also a block of sand with dinosaur bones for him to chisel out. He was in heaven :)
