Willie G.--Superstar

Will is a little superstar! He is now sitting up on his own!! Henry is close but not there quite yet. Will is also on the verge of crawling! Yes, that's right! He rocks on his hands and knees and gets some forward momentum before giving up. Time, please stop. Please. I am not ready for my babies to be that old. More importantly I am not ready for my world to completely change again. Thanks.

Dubai Dave

Uncle Dave flew home from Dubai last week to meet his newest nephews for the first time. A few things we discovered during his visit:

Will and Dave are doppelgangers. Seriously, could they look more alike? Also, Will was fascinated by Uncle Dave's facial hair and felt the need to pull it whenever possible! Henry's sweet disposition made Uncle Dave smile and melt :)
Jack thinks Uncle Dave may be the coolest person on the planet and definitely did not want him to leave :(

New Ride

We gave in. We did it. We finally invested in the super nice double stroller. If we were still living in Chicago we would have done this early on before the twins were even born because we used our stroller ALL THE TIME. Seriously, I think Jack spent hours a day in his Bugaboo. However, once we moved back to the 'burbs we weren't really sure how much we would really use our stroller and if it would be worth the MAJOR investment in a high end stroller. Turns out when you have twins, a nice stroller is a necessity. Until recently we used a pretty inexpensive double stroller that in all honesty just wasn't cutting it.
The baby in the back always kicked the "you know what" out of the baby in the front. They always slouched in their seats and generally just hated the ride. We soon discovered that we used the stroller EVERYWHERE-grocery store, Target, mall, beach, office (you get the idea). Its really not as easy to get around with 2 babies as it was with 1 so we ended up using the stroller whenever possible. We talked and agonized (and I pretty much annoyed Chris into submission) and finally made the big purchase and we honestly couldn't be happier. It was soooo worth it!

Cooling Off

How does our family cool off in the unbearable summer heat? All piling in the pool, of course!

Happy 4th of July!

We had a quiet, lowkey Fourth at home and it was perfect. Daddy surprised Jack with a Buzz Lightyear slip n slide. Jack was super excited about it but not nearly as excited as Wrigley...Daddy demonstrated for Jack the art of the slip and slide...
Jack caught on quickly!
The babies pretty much did this all afternoon...

It was the perfect way to celebrate!

Are You Talking to Me??

Baby Bird

Boy can these boys eat!!! They are seriously going to eat us out of house and home by the time they are teenagers. At just 6 months old, they are eating 4 large jars of baby food at every meal plus drinking 4 six to eight ounce bottles a day!!!! Can you imagine how much milk and cereal I am going to have to buy when we have 3 teenage boys??!!!

Henry has earned the nickname "Baby Bird" because we can't seem to get the baby food into his mouth fast enough. He sits in his highchair with his mouth continuously open, waiting for the next bite. Rapid fire feeding doesn't even seem to be fast enough!!!

Busch Gardens

We took advantage of our season passes and headed to Busch Gardens with all THREE boys! Crazy? Maybe. Fun? Definitely.

Jack and Mommy got a picture with a Clydesdale. He was HUGE!Jack had so much fun on the rides and even rode his first roller coaster!
Will and Henry were so good and just seemed to "go with the flow". They are such easy babies!
