Cart Crazy

To say that the twins like the car cart at the grocery store would be the understatement of the year!

Out With The Old

When we moved into our house 18 months ago, one of the bedrooms was decorated from floor to ceiling in Finding Nemo. Seriously the walls were covered in a painted mural, the ceiling was painted blue, and there was blue shag carpeting. Guess who claimed that room??
Jack loved his Finding Nemo room for the longest time until one night he said he was scared of the sharks and wanted a new room. We decided it was time for a "big boy" room and we let him pick his new decor. What did he decide upon?? A UVA room, of course!!!

The pictures don't really do it justice but it turned out so great! Jack got to go shopping at the bookstore in Charlottesville to pick out all the decorations and for the first few nights after his room was completed, he insisted on us singing him "The Good Ole' Song" before he fell asleep :)

Soccer Star

Jack started playing soccer this year and it is quite a sight to see. He is on a team of 3.5 to 4 year olds and he is by far the tallest on his team. He literally towers over the other kids!!

Jack loves his soccer outfit and was very excited when Uncle Matt and Aunt Meghan gave him cleats for his birthday. Now the look is complete!Mommy missed Jack's first game because she was out of town but Daddy did a great job capturing it all in photos and videos. Jack did a great job of not using his hands and he even scored 2 goals (one on his own team!). However, the best part of the game for him were the unexpected snacks. He even said to Daddy, "I didn't know there would be snacks here!"

Tubby Time

The boys are finally sitting up well enough to take a bath together. Sometimes its a little crazy to wrangle both of them as they try to explore but it is also ridiculously cute to see 2 baby tooshies swimming around :)

Eating Is Hard Work

I've heard of kids falling asleep at the dinner table (although I am 100% sure Jack will never do that) but its pretty incredible that BOTH boys feel asleep in their high chairs! They look pretty comfortable, huh?

They're Mobile

Into everything...Discovering new things...
Climbing onto furniture...
Escaping...
Oh, and standing and attempting to walk!!!! Time please slow down!!!!!

Polar Opposites

Henry and Will couldn't be more different when it comes to the fountains at the Botanical Gardens. Henry pretty much does this every time:Will, on the other hand, is such a bruiser! He LOVES water and thinks the fountains are amazing! In fact, there is a giant fountain that shoots 6 inch round cylinder of water straight into the air. Will busted his hiney to crawl as quickly as possible towards it and put his entire face right into the middle of it! When Daddy went to "rescue" him he cried and cried--not because he was scared but because he was none too happy about being removed from the super cool fountain! Other moms were commenting that they had never seen a baby so unafraid!

Passed Around

During Jack's birthday party, the twins were passed around and got all kinds of love!

Birthday Party

Jack's birthday party was at the Botanical Gardens and it couldn't have been more perfect. The weather was amazing and he had a blast!

Even though he had many friends there, he was most excited about sharing the day with Chyann! The party wouldn't have been complete without his girlfriend Maya. Could she be any cuter??!!
Jack was super excited about his Buzz Lightyear cake (lovingly made by Mommy and Daddy).
What would a birthday party be without AWESOME presents. Thanks to all of Jack's friends and family for making his day so special :)

Birthday Celebrations!

These are a few weeks late but Jack had such a fantastic birthday. I still can't believe he is 4 years old, despite the fact that he reminds us EVERY day!

Jack was so excited to put his window decorations up on the morning of his birthday. Its the little things :)Jack got to pick his birthday dinner and he chose pizza. He was so thrilled to share it with Nana, Uncle Matt and Grandma Gail!
Pure excitement!
Jack received so many great gifts but definitely ranking high were his Batman and Spiderman costumes!

Wrestling

The twins love to "wrestle". Actually it is usually Will climbing on Henry to get to a toy or because Henry is in his way. Will is definitely the brute of the two :)

Happy Birthday Granny!

We helped Granny celebrate her 88th birthday and she was so thrilled to be surrounded by her great-grandkids.
Henry was so sweet with her. He was really enamored and would reach out and rest his hand on her arm. Such a loving gesture :)

Teething...

Or as we like to call it, the bane of our existence.

Teething is no joke in this household. These babies teethe and the whole world stops because they are fussy and don't sleep and to top it off, THERE ARE 2 OF THEM!!! Two teething babies is not twice as fun, fyi. In fact, it is hard and exhausting. Will and Henry are constantly putting things (hands, toys, teethers, our fingers, cell phones, remote controls, cords, etc) in their mouths and Tylenol only gives them moderate relief. I know its been a while, but I don't remember Jack being so affected by teething and I can't wait until my poor babies are not so uncomfortable anymore. We only have to wait until they are 2 years old, right??

Where's Will??

Well they are both crawling which means they are into EVERYTHING!! Will is so fearless that he will climb onto anything including the ottoman, coffee table, bookshelf and of course his toys. Time, please stop (or at least so down)!

Family Reunion

Most of Daddy's extended family was in town for a week to celebrate his Aunt Yvette's 50th birthday. It was the first time in a very long time that they were all together (well most of them!) and we took the opportunity to snap a family photo. Unfortunately Will decided to sleep through it...

Next Generation!

Abbey is having a baby! Kristen, Mommy's best friend from high school, and her little sister stopped by to meet the twins and talk about babies since Abbey is expecting her first later this month. So exciting!!!

The Lake!

(Still trying to finish up Michigan pics so that we can move on!)

Jack and Chyann had so much fun playing in the lake this summer. Jack's swim lessons really paid off because he was so much more confident and such a good swimmer. Much to our surprise he was not afraid at all to jump off the dock!Jack so proud of himself!

Jack and Chyann spent many hours playing on this float.
