Jackson Alexander Spillman Dan

So Jack is currently obsessed with dinosaurs. Now, I know what you are going to say. All 4 year old little boys like dinosaurs. True. But I dare to bet that not many 4 year olds walk around with their 3 dinosaur encyclopedias and talk about Deinonychus or Ornithmimus. Seriously, he is obsessed. He knows probably 25 different dinosaurs and how to pronounce them correctly (He gets a kick out of correcting Mommy and Daddy's mispronounciations). He can tell you what period they lived in (Cretaceous, Jurassic, etc). He knows if they are carnivores, herbivores, omnivores or insectivores (yep, I didn't even know there was such a thing). I've never seen him so interested in anything like this before. He informed us yesterday that he wants to be a palientologist when he grows up :)

Jack watches Dinosaur Train on PBSkids everyday and he also watches Dino Dan on NickJr. In fact, he has officially changed his name to Jackson Alexander Spillman Dan. (Don't ask me why the "Dan" comes at the end!).

I found a dinosaur fossil kit on Amazon and Jack loved it. It had a glow in the dark bone set that he put together and also a block of sand with dinosaur bones for him to chisel out. He was in heaven :)

Gum! Can You Believe It? Gum!

Somehow Jack got gum in his hair! Ugh, so gross!! Luckily I had JUST read that one should put peanut butter on the gum to get it out. Turns out, it actually works! However, Jack was none too happy about it!

Bumper Cars!

Seriously, these boys have so much fun together. Put Radio Flyer bumper cars into the mix and they can hardly contain themselves!

Little Leprechaun

One of the things we love most about Jack is his love for holidays. The kid seriously wants to celebrate every holiday and if we let him (or if he knew about them) he would insist on celebrating National Peanut Butter and Jelly Day (its today!) or Rubber Eraser Day (seriously, it exists!). Luckily he is only aware of the big ones so celebrate we do!

For school this year Jack had to make a leprechaun trap. What a fun project! Jack was so proud of it and even more proud when the leprechaun left him Hershey Kisses :) We took a toilet paper roll and covered it in rainbow ribbon and stuck it in a hole in the box in hopes that the leprechaun would come to the rainbow looking for gold and get stuck in the box. Of course we put gold in the box to entice him!

Practice Makes Perfect

Will and Henry have been practicing with their utensils and are actually quite good at it. In fact, Henry can not only get the fork or spoon in his mouth but he can pick up food with them too!

This post may not be all that interesting but the pictures of Henry with his favorite tool sure are cute!
