Trouble Makers

Dear Lord,

Please watch over these boys and protect them because we most certainly can't be in 2 places at once. These boys are crazy! They are mischievous and fast and adventurous and most importantly there are 2 of them. They feed off each other, watching the other's every move and taking it all in. On a daily basis they find a new and higher place to climb. We've stripped down the kitchen and living room to the bare bones and babyproofed our brains out, and yet they still find new ways of raising our blood pressure. Will is balls-to-the-wall adventurous and Henry is manipulative and crazy smart. Put them together and its a recipe for disaster. Just ask Will about when Henry almost set him on fire or the incident with the butcher knife! Yep, fun times. Yet, despite the gray hair inducing shenanigans, these boys are amazing. They are truly such a blessing and we'll keep reminding ourselves of that the next time we have a mild heart attack.

Amen.

Henry's new found passion is climbing onto the bar stools and then onto the high counters.
He even takes time to help Daddy with the taxes ;) Notice the trash cans on the counter? Yep. That was the temporary solution to garbage obsessed twins. We've fixed it now.
What is this, you may ask? Only twins with super human strength who ripped off a bar from the gate and made a mad dash up the stairs. Yes, that's right. With one hard yank, they were free.

Teeny Tiny Spaces, Episode 2

It doesn't matter how big or small the space is, they can find a way to fit themselves in. Maybe its a twin thing but its pretty dang cute.

Occasionally they climb into spots on their own.

Here is Will with Mr. Stephen (love the socks!)
And Henry is chair diving

Tech Savvy

Ok, we admit it. Our boys are geeks, and its our fault. Daddy is always exploring new technology and the boys get to play with it too. When Daddy got his iPad a few months ago, Jack was instantly obsessed. He learned so quickly how to use it (props to Apple for creating a product that is so incredibly intuitive) and before we knew it, he could sit for hours with it. He literally turns it on, enters the password, goes to Pandora to start the Bob Marley channel, and then sets to work on his games (he's a huge Angry Birds fan!) and other apps that he picked out including the talking TRex. One day we even caught him trying to Tweet and he had Googled himself :)

What's worse is now the babies are obessessed too. Henry knows how to scroll between pages and use his finger to make stuff happen on the screen. See for yourself...
You should have seen how excited Jack was when Daddy brought home the Xoom last week!

Junior Birdman

Uncle Dave came home from Dubai for a few days and the boys could not have been happier.

Will hung out with his doppleganger.
We celebrated Uncle Dave's birthday. As Jack said, "He's old!"

Uncle Dave taught Jack all kinds of cool things but Jack's favorite was "Junior Birdman".
Pretty cool, huh?

Who Needs Toys...

When we have paper bags?!?!Yee hah!

Oh Spring, Where Art Thou

Today, March 27, its a balmy 39 degrees in rainy Virginia Beach. Ahh, spring. We are awed by your beauty. Not.

Seriously, where is spring and why has winter so nastily returned. My boys are ready to play outside and Daddy and I are running out of ways to entertain 3 very active boys indoors. A few weeks ago the twins got a glimpse of what spring can actually be like in Virginia and now I think they are yearning and waiting, not so patiently.

The new playground at Mount Trashmore is really amazing and reminds us so much of the awesome playgrounds in Chicago. The twins were a little skeptical and overwhelmed at first but warmed up quickly and took off!

The swings further demonstrated to us that Will and Henry are so different. Will loved it and Henry not so much.

The slide, on the other hand, was a hit for both. There was even a small double slide, made especially for them :)
They couldn't wait to climb back up and try again!
Ahh, sunshine. We can't wait for your return!

Monkey See...

Monkey Do. Apparently Henry has been watching Jack and picked up some of his moves!
