First Bath

We weren't sure whether or not the twins would like their first bath but they loved it.

Will became totally relaxed when Daddy laid him in the water.Showing us how strong he is! He has actually "filled out" quite a bit in the past week. For the first few weeks we called him "Saggy Baggy Baby"!!!
Henry also really enjoyed the bath.
So much so that he attempted to nurse on Daddy's finger :)
Two clean babies! Mission accomplished!

One Cool Dude

Jack decided to put the baby sunglasses on Will. He is definitely too cool.

Grrrrr!

If its going to be cold outside, they might as well be dressed adorably!

I Guess You Could Call It a Fixation!

There are no pictures to accompany this post for fear of completely embarrassing my now 3 year old son when he is much older. Instead I will only partially embarrass him ;)

Jack has a new fixation that developed after the twins were born. Binkies? No. Diapers? No. Baby toys? No. Pumping breast milk. YES!!

This may be TMI, but I am not breastfeeding the twins, per se. I pump milk so that we can feed them at the same time and can keep them on a better schedule. Its annoying, painful, and quite frankly frustrating but is well worth it. It seems like I am pumping ALL THE TIME, so it goes without saying that Jack witnesses me looking like a cow attached to a milking machine several times a day. To say that he has become obsessed with pumping would be putting it mildly.

--It all started the first week we were home with the twins and I saw Jack lift up his shirt in an attempt to attach the breast pump to his nipples. I asked him what he was doing and he simply responded, "I'm gonna pump."

--At breakfast the other day, he told me he has small boobies so he can only get a little bit of milk. Later in the day he told Daddy that when he grows up he is going to have big boobies.

--Yesterday Jack was playing with his doctor set and he came into the kitchen to give me an exam. He put the blood pressure cuff on my arm, pumped it up, and then proceeded to ask me if I got any milk!!

--Jack heard the car seat rocking and asked Daddy if it was a pump.

I think he is fixated...

He Earned a Nickname!

One-eyed Willy!!! Its well deserved.

Its the Little Things!

Jack really loves his brothers and it is so heartwarming to see him interact with them. He can't tell them apart yet so he is always asking which baby is which. He is very protective of them and when he goes to bed he tells us to take care of his babies.

One of the cutest things is Jack's obsession with Will and Henry's fingers and toes. He talks about their little "feets" and "fumbs" (thumbs) and when Daddy put Jack to bed the other night, Jack said to him, "Give Henry a hug for me. I love his little fingers. They're my favorite!!" So stinkin cute!

He's a Big Brother!

Jack is relishing in his new role as big brother. For months before the twins arrived, Jack talked about "his babies" and all the things he planned on teaching them. It was so hard knowing that he couldn't come to the hospital to visit due the H1N1 pandemic and we were so anxious to get home so Jack could FINALLY meet Will and Henry. Nana and Papa did a fantastic job taking care of him. While we were in the hospital, Nana and Papa printed out pictures of the boys and Jack took them to school to show everyone, including people he didn't even know!

As you can see in the pictures and videos, Jack was over-the-moon when he met the boys.

Introducing Will and Henry

We proudly introduce William Gray and Henry Bernard, born January 3rd at 9:06am and 9:07am respectively. I had a c-section scheduled for Wednesday January 6th but obviously didn't make it that long! I went into labor around 5am and by 7am I thought I was dying. We got to the hospital a little before 8am and by then my contractions were 1-2 minutes apart, I was 4 centimeters dilated and I was begging to get the babies out :( Luckily I was able to head straight into the c-section! The boys were born healthy and strong--6lb 11oz and 6lb 12oz!!!! I still can't get over the fact that I carried around almost 14 pounds of baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
